Another (school) year comes to an end!

Patriotic Jingoism
This time on Feb 14, Valentine’s day, there was a different tune being played. No mushy music, no poetic verses for the lovers, no romantic serenades. All this change came not because of some right wing extremists who wanted to protect our culture (though yes it did happen because of some other extremists). Time turned it’s wheels really fast and here we are in the next year. Welcome 2019! I wish everyone, near and dear, real and virtual, a wonderful and adventurous year ahead. I wish them good health, peace and lots of time with loved ones – this is so important in these times of hectic schedules and deadlines.
The Golden Age of Childhood
Sometimes I wonder when I compare the times we grew up in with the present days – did we live in more dangerous times, where we had more freedom or is it better now with parents hovering around us the whole time? I mean did we really live in dangerous times or our kids being more protected and cloistered by un-neccessary caution?
