It took Russia to attack Uzbekistan for our newspapers and news channels to change their headlines. Ever since the hijab ban controversy spiralled out of control, everyone (with any or no knowledge) was giving their unwarranted advice/suggestions/opinions. So I decided it’s time to express my feelings too. I mean why should I not, whether it makes sense or not to others is totally secondary and inconsequential. So here goes, and you don’t have to agree with what I say.
The definition of Mother has undergone a change now. No more the all sacrificing, virtuosic figure glorified by the Bollywood mothers like Nirupama Roy. The new age mother is all that and more. She has come to realise that she too is an individual and one of the primary roles that she’s essaying is that…
‘No’ is a powerful word, capable of building their confidence, reinforcing their self-worth. But that one little word is equally capable of destroying it all.
Festivals is all about spending time with family and friends. Focus on this aspect so the children understand the meaning behind the celebrations instead of focusing on just the material aspects.
Break overthinking, overcome fear, take action, embrace imperfect starts, and turn planning into real progress and growth.
It’s okay to let the child feel bored sometimes. It forces them to think by themselves instead of depending on you or the gadgets to tell them what to do next.
